Help slow the spread of seasonal illnesses; What to do if your child is sick
Posted 8/26/22

Seasonal illnesses like colds, flu, and COVID are common.  Please remember these guidelines to help slow the spread of illnesses in our schools.

  • Monitor your family’s health daily. See our daily health check guide.
  • If sick, remain home until you are well and fever-free for at least 24 hours without the aid of medication.
  • We are following our normal plan for slowing the spread of infections.  If exposed to COVID, you do not have to quarantine; Monitor your health and remain home if you are sick.  If you test positive for COVID, follow guidance from the Georgia Department of Public Health.
  • When students return to school, send a signed note from a parent, guardian or doctor to the school. Include the date(s) and reason for the absence.
  • Make up work is permitted for excused absences when students return, or you may contact your child’s teacher(s) directly.
