Board of Education Regular Session is May 12, at 6:30 p.m.

     The Bulloch County Board of Education will host its scheduled regular session on Thursday, May 12, at 6:30 p.m., in the boardroom of the school district's Central Office, located at 150 Williams Road in Statesboro. 
     Guests should enter the building's main entrance (A) at the front of the building. The meeting space is open to the public. Prior to the meeting at 6 p.m., the Board and the Bulloch County Foundation for Public Education will host a reception for the 2017 cohort of REACH Georgia Scholars who are graduating from high school this year.
     Regular session Board meetings include a time on the agenda for public participation. Guests who wish to speak should arrive prior to 6:30 p.m. to sign in on the provided sheet at the podium.
     The community can also send public comments to the Board of Education at any time. This can be done either to Board members' individual email addresses, to the Board's group email, or to the Board's attention via Superintendent of Schools Charles Wilson at 912.212.8500 or to the superintendent's email.
     Key topics for the meeting include the following: (1) an update about Advanced Placement course scheduling at Statesboro High School and a district Advanced Placement courses update; (2) tentative approval of the Fiscal Year 2023 Budget; (3) a vote on the 2022 to 2027 Strategic Plan for the school district; and (4) a vote on an amendment to change the school district's Strategic Waivers School System contract with the state.
